Why a spitz coat deserves extra care

Double coat

Beneath the topcoat lies a dense undercoat. I brush and blow it out thoroughly, so the coat can breathe and you’ll find less hair at home.

The right shape

The round, fluffy look of the Pomeranian and the neat ruff and trousers of the Keeshond call for skilled scissoring.

Calm and patient

Spitz dogs are clever and sometimes sensitive. I work with one dog at a time and take my time, so your dog feels at ease.

Questions about spitz dogs

How often should a Pomeranian or Keeshond be groomed?

For most spitz dogs, a session every 6 to 8 weeks works well. After the first appointment, I’ll give you personal advice.

My spitz sheds a lot. Does grooming help?

Yes. During the groom, I thoroughly brush and blow out the loose undercoat. Afterwards, your dog will shed a lot less at home.

How long does a grooming session take?

About 2 hours for a Pomeranian. 1.5 to 2 hours for a Keeshond, depending on size.
